Jamie Oliver: The Importance of Food Education for a Healthier World

Shocking fact. Diet related disease is the biggest killer in the US today. Since we have talking about the importance of nutrition and including eating vegetables for a well-balanced diet to avoid some very common nutritional deficiencies, let me take this opportunity to share a very inspiring TED talk regarding the food we eat and the importance of food education. A lot of people meed to see it.

Jamie Oliver is a celebrity chef known for his good food and for using his popularity to campaign for better food education for children as a proactive means of preventing the development of serious life-threatening diet related diseases.

He is against the primary causes of obesity in society such as junk food, blatant overuse of sugar and salt, and the proliferation of fast-food chains all around the world. He wants to encourage food education on the importance of nutrition and on food preparation so that people would know the importance of cooking food at home.

Be inspired to cook healthier meals and to live a healthier lifestyle with Jamie Oliver's talk. It's not too late to start.

Share this talk with your family and friends to encourage them to live healthier too.
