Krispy Kreme Philippines Launches Emoji Magic with a Fun-Filled Emoji Park

In today's digital age, the most popular form of communication is either through text or online messages. We often communicate with the people dear with us using our phones, sending messages that has loads of 'smileys' so that the person we are messaging to can gauge our mood. I remember, growing up, that if you send a text message without a smiley the other person will start to wonder if you're mad. Funny, isn't it?

We live in a world where Emojis are an important part of every day and they are an important way to show others how we feel. It's time to take this a notch further, by sending the people we love sweet treats full of cute Emojis with the new Krispy Kreme Emoji doughnuts! These make-your-own emoji doughnuts will be made available all year round.

I was lucky enough to be a part of Krispy Kreme's Emoji Magic Launch at the Emoji Park in Bonifacio Global City, thanks to my good friend Phylicia. Check out all the fun we had below...

Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant: The Best Fried Chicken and Mouthwatering Chinese Dishes

Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant is known to serve the best fried chicken you'll ever find in Metro Manila, even better than the likes of global brands such as KFC, McDonald's, and Jollibee and many more. While it's true that Sincerity's fried chicken is the most popular item on their menu, it's not the only dish they're good at making. Sincerity actually has a number of other noteworthy Chinese dishes that any foodie will enjoy. The restaurant has been around since 1956, so they've had decades of experience to come up with the perfect menu to cater to their loyal customers.

We went to Sincerity to have a taste of their popular fried chicken and we also tried a number of items on their menu that were just as good. While we only sampled the bestsellers in other Binondo restaurants in our Binondo food crawl, Sincerity's food is just so good that we decided to have a full meal here.

Read on to know about the other delicious Chinese dishes that Sincerity has to offer...

Bizu Patisserie & Bistro: Perfect for Intimate Breakfast Dates

Bizu Patisserie & Bistro is well-known for their quality European-style breakfast and freshly-baked pastries. I've heard a lot of good things about Bizu but I had the opportunity to have a taste of what everyone has been talking about just recently.

The place itself looks quite dainty with a vibe that titas of Manila would enjoy very much. It's also a nice spot for an intimate brunch date with tall glass windows that allows natural light to come in. It's easy to see why people love having brunch at in Bizu.

Ying Ying Tea House: Quality Dimsum and Other Chinese Favorites

Ying Ying Tea House has been making waves in the foodie scene over the past few years as one of the best Chinese restaurants in Binondo. This restaurant was the third stop in our Binondo food crawl. It's a bit embarrassing to admit but it's a restaurant that I haven't been to before until our good friend, Dennis, introduced Ying Ying to me and our fellow foodie friends during our first Binondo food crawl.

I'm not sure how long Ying Ying has been around and what the restaurant's history is about, but what I do know is they make pretty good Chinese food.

Quik Snack: Enjoy Home-Cooked Tsinoy Favorites From Amah's Kitchen Since 1967

Quik Snack, located along a tiny alley called Carvajal Street, is somewhat easy to miss in the busy streets of Binondo. The restaurant has been renovated to keep up with the times, so a first time visitor would probably be surprised to know that Quik Snack is actually one of the oldest restaurants in Binondo. Established in 1967 by Amah Pilar, who was already 60 years old at the time, the restaurant withstood the test of time and has made millions of loyal patrons fat and happy.

What sets Quik Snack apart is quality home-cooked Hokkien food spiced up with other Asian flavors. The menu has been tweaked a number of times over the years, but you can dine in the comfort knowing that the recipes from Quik Snack's core dishes are still prepared the way Amah herself would cook these dishes in decades past.

We had a number of their favorites and here's how our experience was like...

Masuki: Binondo's Famous Mami House

Masuki is the famous Binondo mami house that you shouldn't miss in any Binondo food trip. What makes it special is that is offers its customers a taste of the past, being one of the oldest restaurants in Binondo. Established in the 1960s, most folks say that the restaurant stayed true to its roots over the years by serving the mami the same way as decades past. Over the years, patrons have regularly enjoyed a bowl of mami along with siopao at this Binondo landmark - a testament to the quality of their food.

Trying out Masuki really was unique, but I must admit the mami is not for everyone. If you're wondering why, then read on below.

New Po-Heng Lumpia House: Binondo's Famous Fresh Lumpia House

New Po-Heng Lumpia House is a popular in Binondo known for their Lumpia Sariwa, a Chinese-style fresh lumpia. A number of foodies love going to New Po-Heng because the rolls of lumpia is both huge and very affordable! They also serve Maki Mi, a noodle soup that's not as popular as their lumpia but is pretty good. If you haven't been here before, make sure that New Po-Heng is part of your Binondo Food Crawl itinerary.

This was the first stop on our Binondo Food Crawl and here's what we ate...

Lam Dynasty: Bringing Back the Classic Flavors of Marquina

At first glance, Lam Dynasty seems like a fairly new Chinese restaurant located at the second floor of the Pacific Centre. Little do people know, the owner of Lam Dysnasty is the son of the original founder of Marquina - a classic Binondo favorite been around since the 1950s but eventually closed down. It's located in a fairly new commercial building, offering a more modern feel compared to the classic hole-in-the-wall Binondo restaurants, but it attempts to bring back old flavors that has been around since the 1950s.

This was the second stop in our Binondo food crawl and it's not as popular as other Binondo mainstays. After trying out some of their bestsellers, I became very impressed with their food that I have been wanting to come back ever since.

Here's our Lam Dystansty experience...

Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant: A Special Eggyolk Pao You Just Gotta Try

Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant isn't as popular as many of its Binondo neighbors, but they do there are those who say this restaurant serves some pretty amazing food. They've since branched out to Banawe and Makati, a testament that business must be doing well.

When you compare Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant's menu with other Binondo favorites, it's obvious their prices are a bit steep and that's the only complaint I heard about it. Regardless, that didn't stop us from trying out one of their specials on our Binondo food crawl!

Here's what we got...

Dong Bei Dumplings: Authentic, Affordable, and Freshly-Made

Dong Bei Dumpling is a famous dumpling house in Binondo located at the end of Yuchengco Street - a true Binondo gem where you can get authentic, affordable, and freshly-made dumplings. Dong Bei Dumpling might look like a very small and unassuming store, but believe me you do get your money's worth for really good dumplings!

The shop is located very near the Binondo Church, so it's one of the easiest Binondo favorites to go to because public transportation would usually drop passengers right at Binondo Church.

Here's why Dong Bei should be on your next Binondo food crawl...
