Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant isn't as popular as many of its Binondo neighbors, but they do there are those who say this restaurant serves some pretty amazing food. They've since branched out to Banawe and Makati, a testament that business must be doing well.
When you compare Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant's menu with other Binondo favorites, it's obvious their prices are a bit steep and that's the only complaint I heard about it. Regardless, that didn't stop us from trying out one of their specials on our Binondo food crawl!
Here's what we got...
The place looks like your typical Binondo restaurant. I expected that the ambiance would be a bit better knowing that it's a bit expensive for a Binondo Restaurant, similar to Golden Fortune and President.
We only got the Special Eggyolk Pao (Php 108) because we were already so full with this being our second last stop in the Binondo crawl. I didn't expect to eat much, but this unassuming eggyolk pao is just so good!
I loved it so much that I had a second serving, despite already being so full.
The star of this dish has to be the amazing eggyolk custard inside the pao - a surprise just waiting for you to take the first bite. The custard was sweet, rich, flavorful, and velvety smooth. I think it's made with salted egg.
This Eggyolk Pao definitely a must-try dish and was certainly one of the highlights in our Binondo food crawl! Even if you don't plan on eating a full-course meal here, you can just stop by Lucky Rainbow Seafood Restaurant just for a light afternoon snack. I heard that if you come here between 2pm-5pm in the afternoon, you'll get 20% off your current bill!
