Zomato, the restaurant review platform in the Philippines with the largest readership, recently announced the launch of its online ordering services in Metro Manila. In an effort to provide a more complete food experience, Zomato began providing online ordering and delivery services by partnering up with Quick Delivery, a home-grown logistics leader in Manila.
It's a known fact that Filipinos love to eat - spending around a third of their income on food. A lot of us eat multiple times a day, from breakfast, brunch, lunch, merienda, dinner, or a midnight snack! Filipinos really love to eat, and we'd eat even more if we could fit it all in our stomachs.
Zomato makes it very easy for you to have your favorite dishes delivered straight to your door! Here's how the delivery process looks like...
You will be taken to the restaurant's delivery page after clicking on the 'Order Now' button. This is where you can start adding your favorite meals to your shopping cart. For Burger Company, I suggest you order a lot of those yummy, crispy BACON DIPPERS!
If you're craving for a bacon burger, when you click on it you will be brought to a page where you could customize it even further before adding it to your cart. A single patty burger, with parmesan fries (you have other options) and some iced tea sounds pretty good.
You can then view your cart to proceed with the delivery. Before payment, you will be given a summary of all the yummy dishes you ordered. Note that you need to verify your phone number and home address when you order for the first time!
In this case, I ordered two Bacon Dippers (because it's that good!) and a burger. Here's a summary of the total bill. Note that if you live too far from the restaurant, the delivery fee does get a bit steep. That's essentially the cost of bringing Bacon Dippers from Quezon City to Makati.
That's how easy Zomato Delivery is, all at the tip of your fingers using the Zomato app! If you're using your laptop, the website follows a similar process which I find a lot easier.
Pankaj Chaddah, Co-Founder, Zomato, said, “The delivery market in the Philippines has the potential to be one of the largest in Asia. We believe strongly in the leadership of Quick Delivery, and what they’ve built and achieved in the Philippines over the years. With this partnership, we believe we will create real value and bring a smoother, more enjoyable ordering experience to our customers. This will also enable restaurants to cater to a vast base of engaged users in a seamless way.”
Quick Delivery is a pioneer in food delivery and takeout with exclusive partnerships with over 1,200 restaurants.
With this partnership, Zomato Philippines now allows millions of Manila foodies to discover restaurants and quickly place an order online - conveniently bringing your favorite dishes straight to your doorstep. To really maximize this service, it's best to order dishes from nearby restaurants so that you don't have to pay the steep delivery charge or you can order for the entire family!
