Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant: The Best Fried Chicken and Mouthwatering Chinese Dishes

Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant is known to serve the best fried chicken you'll ever find in Metro Manila, even better than the likes of global brands such as KFC, McDonald's, and Jollibee and many more. While it's true that Sincerity's fried chicken is the most popular item on their menu, it's not the only dish they're good at making. Sincerity actually has a number of other noteworthy Chinese dishes that any foodie will enjoy. The restaurant has been around since 1956, so they've had decades of experience to come up with the perfect menu to cater to their loyal customers.

We went to Sincerity to have a taste of their popular fried chicken and we also tried a number of items on their menu that were just as good. While we only sampled the bestsellers in other Binondo restaurants in our Binondo food crawl, Sincerity's food is just so good that we decided to have a full meal here.

Read on to know about the other delicious Chinese dishes that Sincerity has to offer...

The history of Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant is proudly displayed on the walls of the restaurant. It's one of the oldest restaurants in Binondo with a rich history of serving high-quality Chinese cuisine, making it one of the most highly recommended restaurants in Binondo.

The restaurant also looks like it's been renovated since it's one of the few restaurants that already has air-conditioning. Don't expect much when it comes to service, since it's similar to every other Chinese restaurant in Binondo.

The Sincerity Fried Chicken (Php 160 for a half order) is what foodies around Metro Manila rave about. The bite-sized pieces of chicken are perfectly crunchy on the outside and Sincerity does a good job of keeping the meat very juicy. The best part about it is that you have bangs of flavor all the way through - from the skin to the meat.

This really is, in my opinion, the best fried chicken you would ever find in the Metro. Words don't do justice on how good it is, so you just have to go there and try it for yourself.

If there's one thing you should eat in Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant, it's definitely their fried chicken!

The Kiampong Special (Php 60) is another one of Sincerity's bestsellers, but it is probably the most disappointing dish we had in Sincerity when it comes to both flavor and texture. It's said to be Chinese-style salted fried rice but I thought it was a bit bland and mushy.

The only positive is that it pairs perfectly well with everything else we ordered since it didn't have as much flavor on its own. If you pair it with Kikiam, Oyster Cake, and Fried Chicken then it actually doesn't seem that bad.

The Kikiam (Php 55) is also the best Kikiam I have ever tasted and it's said to be quite authentic as it's wrapped in actual bean curd skin. It had a great crunch to it, was chewy and soft, and was quite savory. It makes for a great snack, but also pairs nicely with some rice!

The Camaron Rebosado (Php 200) was also a nice addition to our flavor-packed meal. It pairs nicely with the sauce it was served with and I particularly liked that it had a bit of heat to it. It's not as noteworthy as Sincerity's other dishes. It's worth trying because, similar to the chicken, it's a seafood dish that's also crunchy outside with moist, flavorful meat.

This is the first time I tried the Fried Oyster Cake (Php 140) and I immediately became a fan. The dish was made with real oysters and had bursts of oyster flavor throughout. I also loved the soft yet crisp texture to it.

On top of Sincerity's friend chicken, you should definitely get the oyster cake. It's just so good that it's difficult to resist eating more of it. A must-try for all oyster lovers out there!

Food Quality: 4.5
Service Quality: 3.5
Ambiance: 3.5

Overall Quality: 4.5

I used to think that Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant merely specializes in one thing - fried chicken - and you shouldn't waste your time and money on other dish in their menu. This visit proves me wrong, and I can now confidently say that Sincerity is now one of my favorite Binondo eats.

Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant should be on top of your must-visit Binondo restaurants, not just for the fried chicken but also for their other quality Chinese dishes. It's hard to find another restaurant that can match it in both quality and affordability, so that's why people keep on coming back.
