Farmacy Ice Cream and Soda Fountain: A Nice Place For Ice Cream, Coffee, Soda and Beer

Farmacy Ice Cream and Soda Fountain is the ice cream shop brainchild of the popular Wild Flour Cafe + Bakery next door. It's unique because you can enjoy quality coffee paired with ice cream during the day, and a nice cold bottle of beer or some home-made soda at night. It's definitely a great dessert place to chill in after a having a nice, hearty meal elsewhere.

The people who know me personally understand how much of an ice cream junkie I am, so here's what you can expect from Farmacy Ice Cream and Soda Fountain.

You can enjoy ice cream and drinks at the bar inside if you want to have a chat with the 'baristas.' Otherwise, you can enjoy your cup of ice cream outside with the Bonifacio Global City heat. I always come here with a group to have ice cream here so we would opt have a table outside and it does get a bit too hot while you're enjoying ice cream or a hot cup of coffee.

It might be their strategy to make you buy more. It does tempt you to buy more of their ice cold ice cream.

Speaking of ice cream, you have loads of different fresh home-made ice cream flavors to choose from. I personally would recommend you have a free sample of the different flavors before paying for a scoop so that you know what to expect.

As a general guide, have a taste of flavors that contain 'nuts' - I find all of them taste really great. As a benchmark, I personally judge an ice cream shop based on base flavors such as vanilla and chocolate flavors. I thought the vanilla was a bit disappointing, but the double chocolate ice cream was deliciously packed with flavor!

Here are the flavors I would recommend:
- Pistacio
- Butter Pecan
- Hazelnut
- Peanut Praline
- Salted caramel
- Double Chocolate

Stracciatella and Vanilla
Double Chocolate and Hazelnut
Pistachio and Peanut Praline
The ice cream was rich, creamy and full of flavor but I noticed that it started to melt mere seconds after it was served to us which was a bit disappointing. I like the ice cream's texture and mouthfeel, it really does scream like it's some quality home-made product.

I don't think it's anything special though except that you do have a wide variety of flavors to choose from.

The coffee served is exactly the same as the coffee you'd get from Wildflour, so I still recommend the Vietnamese Latte (Php 130), Cappuccino (Php 120), and Pour-Over brewed coffee (Php 135). In my opinion, coffee and ice cream is just perfect together.

In typical Wildflour fashion, the quality of service was really great. I liked the fact that they don't have a cap on the number of flavors you can try out, and the staff were pretty attentive.

Food Quality: 3.5
Service Quality: 4.5
Ambiance: 3.5

Overall Quality: 3.5

While Wildfour is known for excellent food that justify the expensive price tag it places on their food, Farmacy leaves much to be desired especially with value-for-money because I don't find heir ice cream to be anything special.

Don't get me wrong, I will definitely come back for a scoop or two because it's nearby.
