You Can #EatLikeaViking and #DrinkLikeaViking With Vikings’ Oktoberfest Celebration!

To celebrate Oktoberfest, eat and drink like a Viking at Viking's Luxury Buffet! Drown yourself in unlimited draft beer and Japanese sake this October at Vikings Luxury Buffet.  This treat is already included in their regular prices of  P688 for the regular weekday lunch buffet and P888 for the regular dinner and weekend & holiday lunch/dinner buffet.

I had fun with the Vikings Train game the most - a Vikings’ drink hack where beers are lined up with shots of sake placed on top. The player tips the first shot into the beer, which creates a domino effect while people chant “sake bomb!”. The game is conducted at half hour intervals and you also have your option of creating personalized drink hacks.

I thought it was interesting and I loved the combination of sake and beer so much that I probably finished around 3 glasses by myself.

Here's a Vikings Beer Train video from Yan Birog.

There are also a number of special menu items during Oktoberfest and each branch will feature special menus for the celebration. Of course, all of these are perfect when paired with beer (or the alcoholic beverage of your choice). These include tequila-battered fish fillet with garlic aioli, cream cheese pretzels, crispy salmon skin, and beer battered onion rings.

Appetizers such as beer scallop cream soup with caramelized onions, sausage stuffed peppers, and authentic German wiener schnitzel are also being offered.

You can also enjoy new items on their carving station with entrées like sauerkraut and sausage paprikash, root beer-braised country style pork ribs, and German spaetzle.

Beef-perfect Pinoy dises are also offered this Oktoberfest like bagnet, grilled tuna jaw, dinakdakan, tuna salpicao and the classic Pinoy sisig. We tasted some of their delicious pinoy offerings, and they were all quite delicious.

Here are some of the items we sampled.

I love these chili dynamites and home-made chicharon!

Both the inihaw and lechon platter is just perfect with beer.

You can't get enough of sisig with beer too. Their version of Pork Sisig was quite delicious - crunchy, spicy, and very flavorful, I couldn't stop eating it!

I also enjoyed this Kinilaw platter, particularly both the tuna and squid kinilaw. It's also very spicy with just the right amount of acidity from the vinegar, so you can just drown away all that chili flavor with draft beer.

If you're looking for interesting new flavors, try asking if they have this Balut Salpicao available. I'm not a fan, but if you love balut you should try it out!
