Watering Hole: All Day Breakfast and Seriously Good Chicken

I remember trying out the dishes at Watering Hole during their soft opening, and I have been back a number of times ever since. They serve all-day Filipino breakfast staples but it's their seriously good fried chicken that keeps me coming back - more on that later. The place is a small cozy spot in Bonifacio Global City that's a perfectly good brunch spot.

Here's what you should expect from Watering Hole...

First of all, Watering Hole's Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Php 445) is a godsend. It fell straight from heaven. Don't be deceived, one order is big enough for sharing and it's enough to feed at least two people. The thing is, it's very hard to cook chicken that's crispy on the outside and still very moist on the inside. That's what I call perfectly cooked chicken.

The Baked Cheese Macaroni with Crispy Longganisa (Php 295) makes the classic Macaroni and Cheese a bit Filipino by adding crispy Longganisa on top because, well, they thought it would work as well as bacon. I totally agree with them, it added a nice touch to all that cheese. It's a bit heavy though so please make sure you have someone to share with.

The Pork Sisig (Php 225) wasn't as good as the chicken or the mac & cheese, but it adds a nice touch to a meal. I'm not crazy about it but it's part of their favorites so why don't you try it out for yourselves.

Well, that's all folks. The Watering Hole has really good fried chicken and I'm thinking that's reason enough to give it a shot. Their breakfast meals are a tad bid overpriced, so I suggest you get the chicken and that delicious Mac & Cheese. Those I can vouch for.

The meals are meant for sharing, so make sure you drop by with a group.
