Chimara: Eat Right And Feel Great With Chimara's New Dishes

Most of you probably know Chimara from their flagship branch in Greenbelt 3, a place where you can grab a healthy snack just before you go heading over to watch the next blockbuster film. Well, this year Chimara has reinvented itself as a full blown 'feel good kitchen' beginning with their new store at the UP Town Center in Diliman, Quezon City. They officially opened their last June 17 and they're ready to serve you a wide selection of feel good food that you can easily customize just the way you like it.

To kick things off, they're even offering 20% off on all their dishes until July 31, 2016!

Here's what you can expect from the whole new Chimara....

The restaurant itself is cozy enough, with a light green hue that gives a preview of the dishes they serve - fresh, vibrant, and healthy. The place is a bit small, and can probably seat a maximum of 30 people. They also don't have their own restroom, however there is one nearby out of the store.

The staff makes it a point to make each dish right in front of you in an open kitchen, so you know exactly what's in your food. You can choose from their Cold & Fresh selections that feature salads and wraps, or you can opt for Hot & Savory rice, pasta, or panini dishes

Staying true to their cinema origins, they also serve Hearty Pops (Php 55) while you're waiting for your food to arrive! I'm a sucker for Chimara's white cheddar popcorn, which explains why you're not seeing any powder in the photo above.

This Tofu Onion Soup (Php 85) was just magical and was definitely one of the highlights of our meal. I didn't think this simple looking onion soup would taste so good! I loved dipping Chimara's signature Tofu Chips (Php 110) in it. This one's definitely a must-try!

The Faux Beef Salpicao (Php 180) was delicious and pairs nicely with Chimara's brown rice - a great healthy alternative to normal white rice. It's a dish I would come back for and that's surprising because faux beef isn't even real beef. It's the vegetarian alternative to the real thing. I didn't even notice I was eating faux beef because it was so taste that I only found out when I got home.

No wonder it's a bestseller! It also sounds tasty as a panini, but too bad I didn't have enough room to eat some more.

The Tofu Cheese Pesto Pasta (Php 180) is another one of Chimara's beautiful, healthy creations. I didn't know that tofu pairs really well with pesto until I tried this yummy dish. Of course, it might be because everything tastes amazing when topped with a load of cheese.

This is my second favorite main course from Chimara! Another must-try!

Here's what the Pepper Maple Chicken looks like as a wrap (Php 220) and as a salad (Php 230). I get the appeal of the wrap a lot, since it's a healthy meal you can eat on the go. If you ask me though, I'd always get the salad because we all need more greens. Don't worry, both options still taste great but they're just prepared in different forms.

We also tried Chimara's Juice Infusions. The large pitcher of I Am Wise (Php 150) on the left is made of a mix of mango, apple, and tomato that's said to help with your memory. The I Am Super (Php 80) drink on the right is a romaine and apple drink that's concocted to give you a vitamin boost.

Flavor wise, I would go with the latter drink because romaine and apple is just an amazing combination. If I'm studying for a test, however, a pitcher of the former might just be the perfect trick. Hey, I might even study here while drinking as much of this juice as I can!

You can also take home some of their healthy snacks. Personally, I think the popcorn and the tofu chips would make perfect study snacks. One I would just gobble up while writing that final paper of studying for a math test.

If you're studying or living nearby, you should stop by the all-new Chimara to try some of their great, healthy options at the ground floor of UP Town Center (it's near Jollibee and Mcdonalds!). It's a nice healthy alternative to fastfood and their prices are actually quite affordable considering that they serve healthy dishes that have been carefully thought out.

See you at Chimara!
