8065 Bagnet: Makati's Secret Spot for Perfectly Yummy Bagnet

8065 Bagnet is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in San Antonio Village, Makati City that serves affordable, yummy bagnet. It's a bit difficult to find the restaurant because they don't have public transportation going around San Antonio village, but the residents around the area and foodies working in Makati know this secret spot all too well.

If you want quality, affordable bagnet then 8065 Bagnet is the place to be.

It's very easy to miss 8065 Bagnet, look out for this sign when you're trying to find the restaurant in San Antonio village.

Don't expect too much from the place in terms of ambiance - graffiti on the wall gives the place a very underground, artsy feel along with the very dim lighting.

There are also cool paintings hanging in the corner, kudos to the beautiful artwork! Make sure you don't come here with a full bladder, their restroom is horrible. The location only seats around 20 people (my own estimate) inside so don't come here with a very large crowd.

The Original Bagnet Budget Meal (Php 120) is the reason why this hidden gem exists. The bagnet was juicy and perfectly flavored - salty but just spot on so that the bagnet is tasty. The pork was tender and still crispy. For 120 pesos, the portion size was pretty generous!

I just wished they had more green mangoes on the plate to help balance the dish further. The bagoong was really good and flavors were just dancing around my mouth when I mixed the green mangoes, bagnet, and bagoong with rice.

A number of their loyal customers say that this is the best bagnet they ever had in their lives. I believe them, 8065 Bagnet is way up there in the battle for the best bagnet in Metro Manila. I heard the Kare-Kare Bagnet is amazing, so I'm eyeing that the next time I visit.

The budget meal also comes with soup to wash down some fat from the main dish. It makes the experience a little less sinful.

The place also serves desserts such as cinnamon buns and pastillas. I didn't get to try any this time around but a sweet finish after a heavy (fatty) meal sounds just about right.

The service was pretty bad and the servers were not as attentive. Surprisingly, the place was packed at 3pm in the afternoon with everyone there enjoying a plate of bagnet.

Food Quality: 4.0

Overall Quality: 3.5

If you're looking to satisfy your bagnet cravings, head down to San Antonio Village and look for this hidden gem. People are going crazy about the bagnet here and for good reason - servings affordable, delicious, and generous.

It does get crowded a lot here during lunch or dinner so be prepared to wait a bit. The bagnet is worth the wait!
