Jollibee vs Mcdo: All the #Hugot Ads for a 'Bida Ang Sawi' Valentine's

Jollibee's recent string of 'Kwentong Jollibee' commercials are recently going viral in social media, and it's not surprising why. The valentines-themed ads taps into Filipino values of love and sacrifice, but at the same time these true-to-life, heart-wrenching stories triggered all the feels from Filipinos around the country by making them remember similar instances where moments like these happened our own lives.

Before you head over to the nearest Jollibee store to grab a Jollibee Yum or Chickenjoy, let's relive these hugot ads from rival Mcdonald's as well.

Let's watch all three of Jollibee's #KwentongJollibee commercials again, along with some of the viral Mcdo commercials in the past, and see which fast-food chain does #hugot better. Will you go for Jollibee Chickenjoy or Chicken Mcdo this Valentine's week?

Jollibee Commercials

Vow tells the story of Filipinos 'who found joy in loving unconditionally'. Sometimes, true love means stepping aside to make her the happiest she can be.

Crush tells the story of 'those of you who never gave up on love'. Laban lang, mga bes! No retreat, no surrender! Awoo! Awoo! Awoo!

Date shows that 'ang pagmamahal para sa pamilya ay nananatiling buhay sa ating mga puso.' Ang sakit sa puso nito, pero kahit wala na siya patuloy parin ang pagmamahal.

Mcdonald's Philippines Commercials

For Tuloy Pa Rin, sometimes 'when change happens, it happens for the better'. Move on na mga bes, there are greener pastures ahead.

Uwian Na tells the everyday story where 'Walang papantay sa pag-uwi sa mga minamahal. Kalimutan na muna lahat, tara na, uwian na.' People you love, are waiting at home. Umuwi ka na!

Mcdo's First Love evokes very similar feelings from Jollibee's Vow. Sometimes, your first love isn't always your last.

Just going by these commercials alone. I think I'll see you at Jollibee! Pero ayoko mag order ng 2-Piece Chickenjoy with extra rice, upgrade to pineapple juice.

Which fast-food fried chicken is your favorite?
