Good Life Celebrates Chinese New Year With a Flavors of Fortune Food Fest

Good Life, one of the leading Asian food brands in the Philippines, recently celebrated Chinese New Year with Flavors of Fortune: Food Trip Down Chinatown - a 2 day festival from January 27 to 28, 2017 at Robinsons Place Manila.

The festival features a few fun-filled activities, including the Good Life Chinoy Dish Showdown where featured Manila hotels showcased a few modern Chinese-Filipino dishes that incorporate Good Life products. The participating hotels include Best Western Hotel, Amelie Hotel, City Garden Hotel, Lotus Garden Hotel, Eurotel, and Bayview Park Hotel and these hotels each had a live cooking exposition to battle it out for the best Chinese dish.

The festival activities also featured a dragon and lion dance, cooking demos, raffles, Feng Shui talk, and cultural performances. Here are some of the fun activities from the 2017 Flavors of Fortune Celebration...

The Wall of Fame showcases Good Life's delicious products. I'm personally a big fan of Good Life's Oyster Sauce and Sesame Oil and I use them whenever I make dishes such as Kangkong in garlic or Chinese Fried Rice

The 2017 Grand Winner for the Chinoy Dish Showdown was Eurotel's Bihon Roll Surprise. It was a tasty dish particularly the one that features shrimps.

Dishes such as this Mixed Noodles with Seafood and Crunchy Pork by Hotel Kimberly was also featured in the showdown. I loved the plating here but I found it to be quite dry, probably because the dish has gone cold.

My favorite dish from the showdown would have to be the Chicken Fillet Stuffed with Canton Noodles Glazed in City Garden's Sauce from City Garden Hotel. That's one tasty dish that was a really moist chicken fillet that's packed with so much flavor.

"Good Life aims for a holistic festivity that promotes a fortune-filled life, which includes the fusion of good food, good relationship and a good disposition in life. We want to joyfully share with Filipinos the best of Chinese cuisine through our Asian food line in Good Life." says Fly Ace Corporation General Manager Ramon Daez.

He's certainly done it. The cooking demo and the Chinoy Dish Showdown just goes to show that you can create a wide range of delicious Chinese food at home using Good Life's products. Delicious food is certainly one way to kickstart a festive, fortune-filled life. Good Life can help you achieve that.
