Starbucks Philippines Christmas Panettone Latte and Frappuccino: Masarap o Hindi Masarap?

Starbucks Philippines added the Christmas Panettone Latte to their Christmas Drink line-up this year and they didn't bring back the popular Christmas Cookie Latte (which was one of my favorite Starbucks Christmas drinks). I personally enjoyed having a warm Toffee Nut Latte or Christmas Cookie Latte while reading a book during the last holiday season.

Starbucks brought back the Toffee Nut Latte and the Peppermint Mocha so I think my previous review of both these drinks still stand.

Here are my thoughts on the Christmas Panettone Latte;

Christmas Panettone Latte

Reminiscent of traditional Christmas fruitcake, this confectionary-inspired treat with bread and butter flavors is topped with a medley of dried cranberries, apples and oranges for a delightful twist on a classic Italian fruit cake.

This year's new featured Christmas beverage promises the taste of Italian fruit cake and it delivers on that promise. The drink I had reminds me of the fruit cake we would usually have on the Christmas table. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing but I personally don't enjoy eating fruit cake because I'm not a big fan of the flavor. If you love fruit cakes, then I think you'll love this drink.

If you're torn between a hot drink or a frappuccino, I say go for the frappuccino instead. I noticed that the bread and butter flavors were more prominent when the drink is enjoyed as a frappe and the syrup is blended well in the drink. Unfortunately, the latte I had earlier had all the sweet syrup and fruit cake flavor right at the bottom so do make sure to stir it well - they probably intended the drink to be sweeter than what I had. 

At the end of the day, I think I'll enjoy a Toffee Nut Latte instead to complete the 7 remaining Chirstmas Drinks stickers in the sticker card. I'm not a fan of the Christmas Panettone Latte and it's not something I would get again. 

So in my opinion, hindi masarap but maybe that's just me.
