Muni's Kickstarter Campaign Hopes to Bring You the Finest Coffee from the Philippines

Muni's Kickstarter Campaign Hope to Bring You the Finest Coffee from the Philippines

Philippine coffee has been improving by leaps and bounds in both taste and quality over the years to cater to the booming local specialty coffee scene - and world is beginning to take notice. It started out with Kalsada's successful Kickstarter campaign where they were able to raise $18,056 to bring Philippine coffee to the international stage.

Personally, I love Kalsada's Baldino Family (Pineapple Papaya), Mang Jose (Chocolatey- nutty), and Auntie Asthrine (Bell Pepper and Cocoa) coffee beans because of the bright, unique flavors they provide in a tasty cup of coffee. These are really some of the best Philippine coffee beans and I'm sure business in Seattle is booming for Kalsada right now. In the same manner, Muni Coffee Shop is planning to bring some of the finest Philippine specialty coffee to the London coffee scene. Pretty exciting, right?

The business model of Muni is quite similar to Kalsada as they plan to work hand-in-hand with the individual coffee farms in some of the Philippine's 7,000 islands to improve both the quality of the coffee and the farmer's quality of life. To learn more about the story behind the coffee that Muni is offering, visit Muni's Kickstarter page

I recommend you get the Muni Single Origin, which is a 200g bag of coffee for only €35, so that you can really taste the intricate flavor notes of a Philippine single origin. This way, you can celebrate the craftsmanship and hard work that the coffee farmers put in your coffee to make sure it is delicious. If you really want to have a trip to that you won't forget, pledge £5,000 and have an adventure to the Philippines

Here's Muni's plan on how they can give back to Philippine coffee farmers:

Philippine Coffee Farmer Assistance Plan

Right now, the kickstarter campaign still needs over £10,000 in 17 days. They are 30% funded and need your help to turn this dream into a reality. Back them on kickstarter now

If you don't have the means to back Muni financially, I urge you to share this campaign so that more people can know about the good they are trying to create.

You can find more details on Muni's kickstarter campaign here. I'm very excited for the London coffee scene right now, they're about to experience their first taste of Philippine specialty coffee. Doesn't that excited you as well?

  12. I think the coffee industry is something we can really develop. We should develop our own blend that we can call our own even in other countries.

  17. Coffee lovers will be excited after hearing this great news. The UK and the Philippines are so far away but it's nice that they found a way to learn from each other and create like an awareness campaign project despite the distance.
