I have a new advocacy, I hope that one day, every coffee geek like myself around the world has a bag of Philippine-grown coffee beans in their kitchen - taking a sip of Sagada arabica or Batangas Barako (Liberica) every morning. The recent third-wave coffee trend has been pretty amazing, with a number of specialty coffee shops sprouting in every corner.
Kalsada Coffee is trying to bring Philippine coffee global with this kickstarter campaign. By donating $25 you will be shipped Philippine-grown arabica beans sources from the mountains of Benguet. For $1500, you get to enjoy 3 day coffee adventure in the Philippines!
Why Philippine coffee? Well, apparently the Philippines has all the basic elements needed to grow quality coffee. However, the industry has largely been untapped and farmers have not been educated on how to grow consistent, quality arabica beans for every harvest season. We can change that.
So what are you waiting for? Support the kickstarter campaign now!
Begin your specialty coffee education by getting the necessary coffee gear that will instantly help you brew a better cup and buying freshly roasted coffee beans for your home.
