Have a Boodle Fight at Aracama Restaurant and Lounge in Bonifacio Global City

Aracama Boodle Fight Menu

Boodle fights are a military tradition that you ought to try with your family and friends. The mechanics are simple - food is placed in a long table on top of banana leaves and your mission is to try to eat as much of it as you can using only your bare hands. Once the signal to start eating is given, everyone begins to battle it out.

Recently, Aracama Restaurant and Lounge released their very own Boodle Fight Platters: The Salo-Salo Boodle Platter and Fiesta Boodle Platter. This is an amazing opportunity to try a number of delicious Filipino dishes prepared by Chef Fernando Aracama.

It is also a great opportunity for you to bond with your loved ones. In today's digital age, cellphones and tablets are often used in the dinner table. In the fight for food, with your hands smothered with oil and grease, you won't be able to use any of your gadgets. So it's an opportunity to really start a conversation with one another.

When you order a boodle platter, it comes with this lemon and water wash for you to wash your hands right before digging in.

Since Filipino meals aren't complete without sawsawan both platters also come with 4 different types of sauces.

While waiting for your food, you can also try their version of Fish Balls (220 php) made from cream dory. It's really tasty! I suggest you dip it in the original fish ball sauce (the one on the left).

Now let's move on to the actual boodle  platters:

Fiesta Boodle (3900+ php)

Aracama Boodle Fight - Fiesta Boodle Platter

For an amazing boodle fight experience, I suggest you order the Fiesta Boodle Platter. It may be more expensive, but the platter also has some of the best-tasting dishes I've had in Aracama! Since this is a boodle fight, here are the 'choice portions' from the Fiesta Boodle Platter that you should get your hands on immediately (in order).
  • Sinugba na Baka - This dish just explodes with flavor. My favorite dish on the platter.
  • Taba ng Talangka Prawns - Very tasty and flavorful prawns!
  • Crispy Pata - If you're into getting the most expensive dish on the plate, go for the Crispy Pata!
I also loved the Kalo Kalo, Green Mango Salad (with Bagoong), and Lumpiang Bangus. Of course, you should get a taste of everything but if you have really competitive enemies then you ought to know what to aim for. In short, it's everything in the middle!

For dessert, the Fiesta Boodle Platter features Dulce Gatas & Bunuelos. I find that the combination fits really well together. The only thing I didn't like about it is the authenticity of the Dulce Gatas. I think it was made with condensed milk rather than carabao milk cooked with muscovado sugar, so it tastes closer to caramel than the real thing. It was still really good though!

Overall, the Fiesta Boodle platter will certainly keep you coming back to Aracama due to the quality and variety of dishes!

Rating: 5.0

Salo - Salo Boodle (2900+ php)

Aracama Boodle Fight - Fiesta Boodle Platter

The main difference between the Salo-Salo Boodle Platter and the Fiesta Boodle Platter are the entrees. For the Salo-Salo platter, I particularly loved the Pork Skewers! It tasted really good when paired with Kalo Kalo and Lumpiang Bangus. I didn't like the Crispy Tilapia as much. Don't get me wrong, it was good but I just don't eat fish a lot. I would probably choose to get the Grilled Squid as the main entree instead.

My advice is the same for both platters. Go for the dishes in the middle first!

The Salo-Salo Boodle Platter comes with pichi-pichi, a light dessert at the end of all that eating.

While the Salo-Salo platter serves great food at a more affordable price, I would suggest you upgrade to the Fiesta platter instead. The dishes featured in the Fiesta platter taste so much better.

Rating: 4.0

Food Quality: 4.5
Service Quality: 4.5

Overall Score: 4.5
