The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Philippines recently included the Toffee Nut Latte and Iced Blended in their line-up of Christmas drinks, replacing the very underwhelming Red Velvet Hot Chocolate. They're taking a page out of Starbucks Philippines, who has been serving the Toffee Nut every Christmas season for as long as I can remember.
I was pretty excited about it because CBTL generally does coffee better than Starbucks. The Ultimate Vanilla is an amazing iced blended beverage and the White Chocolate Dream Latte is a drink I keep coming back for. It took some time (around a month) for them to start serving up the Toffee Nut drinks because of logistics issues, so pardon me for the late review.
Here are my thoughts on the Toffee Nut Latte and Iced Blended;
Toffee Nut Iced Blended
This is way better than a Starbucks Toffee Nut Frappucino both in terms of flavor and texture. The texture of the ice was very smooth that it felt like you were sipping on a milkshake rather than an iced blended drink.
I really enjoyed this drink and I would definitely keep on coming back for more. I do hope they don't run out of stock fairly quickly. This is also the first new drink from CBTL that I loved, because their previous innovations always left me hoping that I got the Ultimate Vanilla instead.
So in my opinion, masarap sobra!

Toffee Nut Latte
The Toffee Nut Latte, on the other hand, was a smooth, hot toffee nut beverage with a strong coffee and toffee nut flavor. It was a bit too sweet in my opinion but I just kept sipping on the cup because it was absolutely delicious!
So, masarap din siya!

Despite the logistical issues, it was well worth the wait. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf's Toffee Nut beverage are way better than what you'd get from Starbucks. The Starbucks Toffee Nut is my favorite Starbucks Christmas drink, but CBTL does better. I hope they bring back this flavor next year!
Have you tried CBTL's Toffee Nut Latte? I would love to hear what you think about the drink. Love or hate it?
