Have a Taste of Starbucks Reserve Coffee for the Price of Regular Brewed Coffee!

Starbucks Philippines has another treat for all of us. On January 15 to January 23, 2015, you can have a taste of rare and exotic Starbucks Reserve Coffee for the price of regular brewed coffee.

If you are not familiar with Starbucks Reserve Coffee, here's how it's different from regular coffee according to Starbucks Philippines,
Exotic, Rare and Exquisite
We spend a lot of time in origin countries searching for the finest coffees – ones with distinct flavors that enchant, amaze and captivate. But of the thousands we encounter, only a precious few are deemed exceptional enough to become Starbucks Reserve® coffees. These intriguing offerings are only available for limited times at select stores.

This promotion features two Starbucks Reserve coffee beans: the Starbucks Reserve Malawi Peaberry Sable Farm and Starbucks Reserve Peru Chonti. I personally like the taste of Peru Chonti better than the Malawi Peaberry Sable Farm. Peru Chonti offers hazelnut and chocolate notes while the beans from Malawi Peaberry Sable Farm taste a bit sour due to it's fruity flavor.

From the first sip, you can immediately taste the difference in flavor compared with regular coffee. I normally drink my coffee with a bit of brown sugar but with Starbucks Reserve Coffee, I have no issues drinking it black because it still tastes amazing. I suggest that you try to drink it black at first so that you can really taste the exquisite coffee notes. Just add sugar afterwards if it's still too bitter for your taste. As always, you can request a cup of steamed half-and-half if you like your coffee with some milk.

A Grande cup of Malawi Peaberry Sable Farm normally costs around 180php while Peru Chonti costs 140php. This promotion brings the price down to 110php. That's savings of 30 or 70 pesos per cup!

Here are the participating branches:
  • Signa Residences, Makati City
  • Keyland Center, Makati City
  • Eight Forbes Town, Bonifacio Global City
  • Central Square, Bonifacio Global City
  • Tomas Morato, Quezon City
If you're living in Makati City, I have to warn you that the Keyland Center, Makati City store will be closed during the long weekend, while the Signa Residences branch is open except on Sunday, January 18.

I suggest you go to the Signa Residences branch (near PBCom tower) because they have a special brewing method called the Clover Brewing System shown above. All the other branches use a pour-over method similar to the Kalita dripper, so the Signa brew is one of a kind.

Have a taste of exotic this week and try out Starbucks Reserve Coffee!
